CrowdSpeaker Cancellation and Refund Policy
Effective Date: [2026-04-30]
This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to paid Experiences booked through CrowdSpeaker (aka CrowdSpeaker.live).
The cancellation policy and material booking terms displayed to a Customer at the time of purchase apply to that booking. Later changes to a Listing or cancellation policy do not retroactively reduce rights that applied when the booking was purchased.
1. Speaker Cancellations
If a Speaker cancels a paid Experience before it is provided, affected Customers will receive a refund of the amount paid for the canceled Experience.
Customers are not required to separately request a refund when CrowdSpeaker's system identifies the booking as canceled by the Speaker.
Refunds are returned through the applicable payment method or another method permitted by the payment provider.
2. Customer Cancellations
A Customer's right to cancel and receive a refund is determined by the cancellation policy displayed for the Experience before purchase.
Available cancellation terms may include, for example:
- Non-refundable for customer cancellations. A voluntary Customer cancellation does not qualify for a refund under the cancellation policy.
- Full refund up to the stated number of hours before the scheduled start time. A Customer who successfully cancels at least that many hours before the scheduled start time qualifies for a full refund.
- Full refund up to the scheduled start time. A Customer who successfully cancels before the scheduled start time qualifies for a full refund.
A booking that is non-refundable for Customer cancellations may still qualify for a refund or other remedy under another section of this Policy, including a Speaker cancellation, Speaker no-show, confirmed duplicate charge, qualifying platform failure, materially misrepresented Experience, or another circumstance addressed by this Policy or applicable law.
Customers should review the applicable cancellation policy before completing a booking.
A cancellation is effective when it is successfully submitted through CrowdSpeaker or otherwise acknowledged by CrowdSpeaker through an authorized cancellation method.
3. Customer No-Shows
Failure to attend, join, or participate does not create a separate right to a refund.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or provided under another section of this Policy, the cancellation policy applicable to the booking controls.
4. Speaker No-Shows
Unless different timing was clearly disclosed for a particular Experience, a Speaker may be considered a no-show if the Speaker has not begun the Experience within 15 minutes after the scheduled start time and has not communicated a reasonable delay to affected Customers.
If a Speaker fails to appear or fails to provide a confirmed paid Experience, affected Customers will ordinarily receive a refund of the amount paid for that Experience.
Customers should report a suspected Speaker no-show through CrowdSpeaker promptly.
5. Check-In and Attendance Records
CrowdSpeaker may provide electronic check-in tools to help Customers and Speakers document attendance.
When available, Customer check-in may open approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled start time and close at the scheduled end of the Experience. CrowdSpeaker may also send check-in reminders or secure check-in links.
A Speaker may be able to view attendance information and confirm individual Customers or multiple Customers through the Service.
Check-in information may be considered when evaluating a booking dispute, but electronic check-in, failure to check in, or Speaker confirmation is not necessarily conclusive proof that a Customer did or did not attend or participate.
6. Materially Misrepresented Experiences
A Customer may report an Experience that was materially different from the Listing.
Examples may include: the advertised Experience was not provided; a materially different activity was substituted without reasonable notice; the listed meeting location was materially incorrect and prevented participation; a mandatory charge that was not disclosed before purchase was required; or material Listing information was knowingly false.
CrowdSpeaker may request information reasonably necessary to evaluate the transaction for purposes of a platform refund or other platform-administered remedy.
Minor differences, subjective dissatisfaction, reasonable route or itinerary adjustments, weather conditions reasonably associated with the activity, ordinary delays, or matters clearly disclosed before purchase do not automatically establish entitlement to a refund.
7. Undisclosed Mandatory Fees
Speakers must disclose mandatory unavoidable charges before purchase.
If a Customer is required to pay an undisclosed mandatory fee as a condition of participating, the Customer should report the charge to CrowdSpeaker.
CrowdSpeaker may refund or credit an appropriate amount and may recover or offset that amount from the Speaker where permitted by the applicable agreements and law.
8. Weather
An Experience is not automatically canceled because of ordinary weather conditions.
The Speaker is responsible for determining whether the Experience can reasonably proceed in the conditions applicable to the Experience, subject to applicable law, governmental orders, venue requirements, or other controlling authority.
If a Speaker cancels because of weather or other conditions, affected Customers will receive the refund applicable to a Speaker cancellation.
If an Experience proceeds and a Customer independently chooses not to participate because of weather, the Customer cancellation policy normally applies.
9. Emergencies and Extraordinary Events
Severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies, transportation shutdowns, major infrastructure failures, or similar circumstances may make an Experience impossible or impracticable.
CrowdSpeaker and the Speaker may consider the circumstances individually when the normal cancellation policy does not reasonably address the event.
Nothing in this Policy limits rights provided by applicable law.
10. Technical Problems
CrowdSpeaker provides internet-based communication and marketplace technology.
Temporary degradation in audio quality, cellular coverage, Wi-Fi availability, individual device performance, latency, or other minor technical problems does not automatically entitle a Customer to a refund.
If a substantial CrowdSpeaker platform failure materially prevents the primary paid Experience from being provided, CrowdSpeaker may issue an appropriate full or partial refund or credit.
Problems caused solely by a Customer's unsupported device, disabled permissions, lack of internet access, depleted battery, headphones, personal network, or similar Customer-controlled conditions generally do not qualify for a refund.
11. Duplicate Charges
Confirmed duplicate charges will be refunded or reversed as appropriate.
Customers should promptly report suspected duplicate transactions.
12. Fraud and Payment Verification
CrowdSpeaker may cancel, delay, reverse, or refund a transaction if CrowdSpeaker reasonably suspects unauthorized payment activity, account takeover, fraudulent Listings, payment manipulation, duplicate recovery, or other fraudulent conduct.
CrowdSpeaker may request additional verification before completing a transaction, payout, or refund.
13. Reporting a Booking Problem
For supported booking problems, Customers may use CrowdSpeaker's in-app resolution process for up to 24 hours after the scheduled end time of the Experience.
Supported transaction issues may include a Speaker no-show, materially different Experience, materially incorrect meeting location, undisclosed mandatory fee, qualifying CrowdSpeaker platform failure, duplicate charge, or another transaction-related issue made available through the Service.
Customers should provide accurate and reasonably detailed information about the issue. CrowdSpeaker may limit a booking to one open internal refund request at a time.
After the in-app reporting period closes, a Customer may contact Hello@CrowdSpeaker.live. The expiration of the in-app reporting period does not eliminate rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Safety, personal injury, property damage, negligence, criminal conduct, or other claims concerning the physical conduct of an Experience are not adjudicated through CrowdSpeaker's refund-resolution process. See Section 16 below.
14. Customer and Speaker Resolution Process
When an eligible booking problem is reported through the Service, CrowdSpeaker may provide the Speaker and Customer an opportunity to resolve the transaction directly through the platform.
The Speaker may respond by offering a full refund, offering an available partial refund, or declining the request with an explanation.
If the Customer accepts an offered resolution, CrowdSpeaker may process the agreed refund or other available platform remedy and close the internal case.
If the Customer rejects the Speaker's initial response, the Speaker may provide one final response or revised refund offer through the available resolution tools.
If the Customer accepts the final response, the case may be closed and any agreed platform-administered remedy processed. If the Customer rejects the final response, the Customer may request CrowdSpeaker review.
A partial refund must be less than the remaining refundable balance on the booking; a refund of the entire remaining refundable balance is treated as a full refund. CrowdSpeaker may impose additional technical limits necessary to prevent duplicate or excessive refunds.
15. CrowdSpeaker Review of Unresolved Refund Disputes
If the Customer and Speaker do not resolve an eligible transaction issue through the available resolution process, the Customer may request review by CrowdSpeaker.
CrowdSpeaker may consider information reasonably relevant to the transaction, including the Listing, booking information, communications submitted through or provided to CrowdSpeaker, check-in records, payment information, platform activity records, and information submitted by the Customer or Speaker.
For purposes of CrowdSpeaker's internal refund process, CrowdSpeaker may determine whether a full refund, partial refund, credit, or no refund will be administered through the platform.
CrowdSpeaker's determination is final for the internal CrowdSpeaker refund process, subject to applicable law and external payment-card or financial-institution rights.
CrowdSpeaker's review is limited to remedies administered through the CrowdSpeaker platform. CrowdSpeaker does not adjudicate legal liability between a Customer and Speaker and does not determine claims for personal injury, property damage, negligence, criminal conduct, or other damages arising from the physical Experience.
16. Physical Safety and Conduct of Experiences
CrowdSpeaker provides communications, booking, and marketplace technology and does not supervise or control the physical environment, route, venue, participants, transportation, equipment, or conduct of an independently provided Experience.
Speakers are responsible for the Experiences they offer, including evaluating and managing risks associated with those Experiences and complying with applicable safety-related laws, permits, rules, and requirements.
Customers are responsible for deciding whether an Experience is appropriate for them, exercising reasonable care, and following reasonable safety instructions.
CrowdSpeaker's refund process is not an emergency service and is not a forum for determining fault or legal responsibility for a safety incident. A person facing an immediate danger should leave the situation when reasonably possible and contact appropriate emergency services or authorities.
CrowdSpeaker may nevertheless take account or platform-enforcement action when reasonably necessary under its Terms of Service. Such action does not mean CrowdSpeaker has assumed responsibility for supervising the physical Experience or adjudicating liability between participants.
Nothing in this Policy excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
17. Refund Processing
CrowdSpeaker may initiate a refund through Stripe or another payment processor.
Once CrowdSpeaker submits a refund to the payment processor, CrowdSpeaker does not control the time required for a card issuer, bank, payment network, or other financial institution to post the refund.
A refund confirmation therefore does not necessarily mean the funds will appear immediately in the Customer's account.
18. Original Payment Method
Refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method.
CrowdSpeaker may use another lawful method when necessary because the original method is unavailable or when required or permitted by the applicable payment provider.
19. Chargebacks and External Payment Disputes
Customers retain any rights provided by their payment-card issuer, financial institution, or applicable law.
Customers are encouraged to use CrowdSpeaker's internal resolution process for a legitimate booking problem before initiating an external payment dispute so CrowdSpeaker and the Speaker have an opportunity to address the issue.
If CrowdSpeaker receives notice that a Customer has initiated a chargeback or other external payment dispute concerning the same transaction as an open internal refund request, CrowdSpeaker may suspend or close the internal refund process while the external dispute is pending to reduce the risk of duplicate recovery or inconsistent payment actions.
Nothing in this Policy eliminates a Customer's lawful chargeback or payment-dispute rights.
20. Abuse of Refunds and Resolution Tools
CrowdSpeaker may investigate patterns suggesting fraudulent or abusive refund activity or misuse of the resolution process.
Examples include intentionally making false claims, manipulating bookings or evidence, attempting duplicate recovery through both a refund and chargeback, or repeatedly seeking refunds for Experiences that were properly provided.
Fraudulent or abusive activity may result in account restrictions, suspension, or termination, subject to applicable law.
21. Speaker Payout Holds Related to Refund Requests
Speaker proceeds for a paid Experience become eligible for release no earlier than 26 hours after the scheduled end time of the Experience.
Eligibility for release does not require CrowdSpeaker or its payment provider to transfer funds at exactly that time. Proceeds may remain held or be delayed while an eligible refund request, payment dispute, fraud review, verification requirement, reserve, regulatory requirement, payment-provider requirement, or other applicable hold remains pending.
CrowdSpeaker may also delay, recover, reverse, or offset amounts as permitted by the Terms of Service, Speaker Terms, payment-provider rules, and applicable law.
22. Contact
Questions or refund requests that cannot be handled through CrowdSpeaker's automated tools may be directed to Hello@CrowdSpeaker.live.
Please include sufficient booking information for CrowdSpeaker to identify the transaction. Do not send complete payment-card numbers by email.
